Celebrating 'The Hai-Cuu Experience'

What an amazing evening of art and performance! More than 100 participants and spectators gathered at ArtRat Gallery on August 18 to enjoy poetry, music, collaborative drawing and community.

The occasion was the debut of "The Hai-Cuu Experience," the brainchild of hip-hop poet Cuu JoSama as well as multitalented promoter Kenneth Cortez, who most recently launched the Baxter United Summer Series in Grand Rapids' Joe Taylor Park. 

In addition to Cuu and Cortez, featured guests included DJ Oso, Sayroan Sanai, Jah Lee, Reliz, Kaizen Kabir, Gemini DaPoet, Jōōs, Derrick Shorter, Bob B. Dos, Jamon and Zilla Zo.

 "The Hai-Cuu Experience" coincided with the September 2022 edition of Third Thursdays, Grand Rapids' monthly arts and commerce activation downtown. It will return Sept. 22 and 29, during ArtPrize 2022. Don't miss it!
